Nestled between two dramatic cliffs, located on the north Cornish coast near St Agnes, Porthtowan beach is a firm favourite with local surfers enjoying the atlantic swells and holiday makers alike. Lying within a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, spectacular coastal cliff walks can be accessed from the beach to the neighbouring beaches of Chapel Porth and Portreath.
When the day ends, there’s a restaurant / bar overlooking the beach, perfect for watching the setting sun after a relaxed day at the beach. Porthtowan beach has been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag status in 2015 for it’s cleanliness and excellent water quality.
Dogs are banned on Porthtowan beach between 15th May – 30th September, 10am-6pm.
