Porthpean Beach Road
Sheltered within St Austell Bay, Porthpean beach has shallow waters perfect for paddling, whilst those feeling more adventurous can take advantage of the kayak hire available. Porthpean Sailing Club also operates from the beach and welcomes visitors.
As the tide drops away, large areas of rock pools are uncovered to the West of the beach, which are perfect for exploring with the little ones. A beach shop & cafe are perfectly located right on Porthpean beach incase you get peckish or forget your bucket & spade!
For the explorers in the family, the historic port of Charlestown is a gentle 1 mile walk away along the South West Coast Path, offering beautiful panoramic views along the way.
Dogs are banned on Porthpean beach between 1st July-31st August 10am-6pm.
There is one large private car park located behind Porthpean beach.
Toilets are located right on the beach
A gentle slipway leads you down onto Porthpean beach from the main road. Toilets and amenities are also accessible, located overlooking the beach.
