Polzeath beach is a popular beach resort near Wadebridge on the north coast of Cornwall. It’s family friendly with lots of amenities close by including cafes, shops and restaurants. Mix that with good surfing conditions, a beautiful beach and breathtaking coastline Polzeath really has everything you need for a fun day by the sea.
Polzeath beach is very flat and sandy, with shallow waters that are perfect for kids to splash around in. For the thrill seekers you can learn to surf, rock climb, kayak or even go coasteering to get up close and personal with the rugged north Cornish coast. RNLI lifeguards operate daily during the summer months to keep a watchful eye on bathers.
For the explorers in the family, the nearby beach of Daymer Bay and New Polzeath can be accessed via the South West Coast Path, with spectacular views across Padstow Bay and the camel estuary.
Polzeath beach has been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag status in 2016 for it’s cleanliness and excellent water quality.
Dogs are banned on Polzeath beach between 15th May – 30th September, 10am-6pm.

Car Parking
There are three main car parks very close to Polzeath beach.
Toilets
Public toilets are located across the road from the beach car park.
Disabled Access
There is level access to the beach from the beach car park and from the main road along a short sandy path next to TJ’s surf shop.
