Polkerris beach is a delightful sheltered cove tucked away on the south coast of Cornwall near Fowey. Located at the bottom of a narrow country lane and set in an area of outstanding natural beauty the small village is a quintessentially Cornish with beautiful views out across St Austell Bay.
The beach is lovely and clean with shelter provided by the large stone quay proudly flying the Cornish flag. Watersports including kayaking, windsurfing and sailing are on offer and there’s a lovely pub and funky restaurant Sam’s on the beach overlooking the beach, the perfect location to watch the world go by.
A large car park is located on the approach down to Polkerris beach, with a short 5 minute walk to the beach. Please note it’s a bit of a slope, especially when coming back up. Access is available for cars to pick up / drop people off.
