One way walk from Harlyn Bay to the harbour town of Padstow, passing iconic landmarks such as Stepper point, the Doom bar and not forgetting the beaches of Trevone Bay, Harbour Cove and St Georges Cove. Total distance 6.1 Miles
It’s sheltered location and excellent water quality (MCS recommended) make Harlyn Bay a popular beach with families and is considered one of the safest beaches in Cornwall.
This protection from the open ocean offers perfect conditions for exciting coastal activities such as surfing, kayaking, paddle boarding and coasteering, which are organised and run by the local surf school on the beach.
If you prefer a more traditional day by the beach, there’s plenty of space to relax and the shallow waters are perfect for the children to splash around in. All facilities are close by and a local pub sits just across the road with a small beach shop. For those with four-legged friends, Harlyn Bay is dog friendly all year round and at low tide it’s the perfect place for playing fetch!
A large car park overlooks Harlyn Bay
Public toilets are approximately 200m from the beach, located in the second grass car park (across the road from the main car park).
Located across the Camel Estuary from the bustling fishing port of Padstow in North Cornwall, Rock Beach is a beautiful unspoilt long stretch of fine white sand, backed by grassy dunes and set in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
